Yashasvi Jaiswal's Heartfelt Homage to Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, and Sanju Samson Following His Second IPL Century

After securing a convincing nine-wicket victory, Yashasvi Jaiswal, the opener for both India and Rajasthan Royals, expressed his gratitude to the senior players who supported him through a challenging phase in the first half of the Indian Premier League (IPL) season. Jaiswal's remarkable century and Sandeep Sharma's stellar five-wicket haul were the standout moments as RR triumphed over MI at Jaipur's Sawai Mansingh Stadium.

In a video shared by the IPL following the win, Jaiswal stated, "I am enjoying it (The IPL). It is incredible (the century). Initially, it was tough for me. But that is what cricket is, you have to go through ups and downs and all the learning. I would like to thank all my seniors, Rohit bhaiya (Rohit Sharma), Virat bhaiya (Virat Kohli), Sanju bhaiya (Sanju Samson), and Sanga sir (Kumar Sangakkara, RR Director of Cricket) for the way they have been talking to me during these past few days."

Sandeep Sharma, who appeared alongside Jaiswal in the video, expressed confidence in Jaiswal's ability to deliver more such stellar performances in the upcoming matches.

Jaiswal also commended Sandeep's composure under pressure and his effectiveness with the new ball. Sandeep, in turn, credited the franchise's management for their support and encouragement during his injury phase, ensuring his place in the playing eleven upon his recovery.

Reflecting on his strategy against MI's Suryakumar Yadav, Sandeep explained how he employed a leg-cutter to induce Yadav into playing his favored flick shot, resulting in his dismissal.

As for the match, MI chose to bat first after winning the toss but found themselves at 20/3 initially. However, a resilient effort from Tilak, with valuable partnerships alongside Mohammed Nabi and Nehal Wadhera, propelled MI to a total of 179/9 in their 20 overs.

In response, Jaiswal showcased his prowess with a remarkable second IPL century, scoring an unbeaten 104* off 60 balls, ably supported by contributions from Jos Buttler and skipper Sanju Samson. Sandeep Sharma's exceptional bowling earned him the 'Player of the Match' award.

With this victory, RR sits comfortably at the top of the points table with seven wins and a solitary loss, accumulating 14 points. Meanwhile, MI finds themselves in the seventh spot, having secured three wins and five losses, totaling six points.
