CSIR-UGC NET June 2024 Registration: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has commenced the registration process for the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research-University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (CSIR-UGC NET) 2024. Candidates who meet the eligibility criteria can register by visiting the official website at csirnet.nta.ac.in.
The registration window will be open until May 21, and the deadline for fee payment is May 23, up to 11.50 pm.
The exam is scheduled to take place on June 25, 26, and 27 in computer-based test (CBT) mode, with the paper available in both English and Hindi. The duration of the exam is 180 minutes or three hours, comprising objective-type questions with multiple choices.
To apply for CSIR-UGC NET 2024, candidates should follow these steps:
1. Visit the official website of the exam – csirnet.nta.ac.in
2. Click on the link for filling out the application form
3. Select the 'New Registration' button
4. Download the CSIR NET information brochure and carefully read the instructions
5. Click on the checkbox at the bottom of the page and proceed to fill in the registration form with all the required details
The exam fee must be paid online through the payment gateway using debit or credit cards, internet banking, or UPI.
There will be five papers in the exam: Chemical Sciences, Earth, Atmospheric, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, and Physical Sciences. Detailed information regarding course codes, eligibility criteria, question paper pattern, fee structure, etc., can be found in the information bulletin available on the exam website.
Candidates are advised to fill out the form only once, as multiple submissions will not be permitted under any circumstances.
The Joint CSIR-UGC NET Examination June 2024 serves as a test to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for the award of Junior Research Fellowship, appointment as assistant professor, and admission to Ph.D. programs in Indian universities and colleges.
