The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) released a notification on Tuesday, announcing the postponement of the ISC Class 12 Psychology exam originally scheduled for March 27, 2024. This decision was made due to the loss of the question paper packet at an examination center. The rescheduled date for the exam is April 4, 2024, at 2 pm.

In an official release, the board stated, "The ISC Year 2024 Examination Centre reported the loss of the Question Paper packet for the upcoming ISC Year 2024 Psychology Examination. In light of this, the ISC Year 2024 Psychology Examination, originally scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2024, has been postponed. The examination has been rescheduled for Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 2 pm."

Additionally, the board emphasized that the question papers for the ISC Psychology Examination, originally scheduled for March 27, 2024, should be handed over to the convener of the center promptly. Sangeeta Bhatia, deputy secretary, mentioned that a fresh set of question papers will be dispatched to the convener of each school shortly.

Previously, the board had also rescheduled the ISC Class 12 Chemistry Theory paper 1, which was initially set for February 26, due to unforeseen circumstances. This paper was rescheduled for March 21.

Regarding exam instructions for students, CISCE issued several important guidelines:
- Students are advised to arrive at the examination hall five minutes before the scheduled start time, including reading time.
- Latecomers must provide a satisfactory explanation to the supervising examiner. Papers will not be given to students arriving more than half an hour late, except in exceptional circumstances.
- Students should notify the Supervising Examiner immediately if they receive an examination paper for which they are not entered or if additional stationery should have been provided.
- General directions provided at the beginning of the paper, such as the number of questions to be attempted, should be read carefully.
- Students must clearly write their Unique ID, Index Number, and Subject on the answer booklets and continuation booklets using Black/Blue ink.
- Handwriting, spelling, and the use of appropriate writing instruments will be considered during evaluation.
- Students should bring necessary instruments and color pencils if required, and calculators may be used as permitted.
- Additional time for reading questions is provided, and students are advised not to waste time on unnecessary information.
