Pandya had a subpar performance with the bat, getting dismissed for a golden duck by Naveen-ul-Haq in the sixth over of the first inning. However, he showed better performance with the ball, picking up two wickets in his four-over spell and conceding 26 runs at an economy rate of 6.50.

In his post-match statement, Pandya emphasized the difficulty of recovering from early wickets and admitted that they missed opportunities to capitalize on the ball. He acknowledged the learning opportunities from the match against LSG and praised Nehal Wadhera, stating that the young talent will have a significant IPL and international career.

Reflecting on the game, LSG won the toss and chose to field first. Mumbai Indians struggled from the outset, losing four wickets for 27 runs within the powerplay. Despite efforts from Nehal Wadhera (46), Ishan Kishan (32), and Tim David (35*), they could only manage to reach 144/7 in their allotted 20 overs.

Mohsin Khan (2/36) stood out as the top bowler for LSG, supported by Marcus Stoinis, Mayank Yadav, and Naveen ul Haq, who each claimed a wicket.

In their chase of 145 runs, LSG faced a tough challenge from MI's bowlers but managed to secure victory with four wickets and four balls remaining, largely due to Marcus Stoinis' innings of 62 runs from 45 balls.

With this win, LSG climbed to the third spot with six wins and four losses, accumulating 12 points, while MI remained in the ninth spot with three wins, seven losses, and six points.
